Newsletter 10/15/24

mdimarcony

Welcome, church, to our weekly newsletter!

This past Sunday, Pastor John shared his message called Suffering is a Servant and Suffering Serves a Purpose. God allows us to be in humbling situations but it’s only to help us.

Use our song list from this past Sunday to have a powerful devotional time with God!

The song list is as follows:

1.     Rest on Us by Upperroom

2.     Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone) by Chris Tomlin

3.     We Bring the Sacrifice of Praise by the Pendleton Corps.

4.     God’s Great Dance Floor by Chris Tomlin

5.     You Deserve the Glory by Aaron Keyes

Our weekly events: Ladies, join us at the church for a Bible Study on Mondays from 9:15 – 10:30 AM about the Book of Acts. It will be a wonderful time of learning more about this impactful time in the church’s history and fellowshipping with your sisters in Christ!

Our Wednesday night prayer meeting will be taking place over Zoom from 7:00 – 8:00 PM! Please email pastormarydimarco1@gmail.com for the link.

Giving projects: We will be collecting small toys, school supplies, personal items for the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child.  These shoeboxes go to needy children all around the world because for some children this is the only Christmas gifts they will receive. Let’s spread the love of God through the gift of a shoebox this upcoming holiday season!

Exciting upcoming event! We will be hosting a pasta dinner at the church on Saturday, November 2nd from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Come enjoy some delicious food and experience our warm hospitality as we introduce ourselves to the community!

Before we end, let’s think about a passage of Scripture for this week, specifically Genesis 6:9. “… Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.”

This chapter speaks of God’s immense displeasure at the wickedness that humanity created and it grieved Him so much that He needed to destroy it. But God recognized that Noah was worth saving because of his reverence for God and because of him, his family was also saved. It’s so important to remember that our obedience and reverence for God can save us and others close to us.

And with that, this week’s newsletter has come to an end. Thank you so much for joining us in this new season of our church. We are so glad we get to do life with you! Have a blessed week!

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.

Numbers 6:24-26
