Welcome, church, to our weekly newsletter!
This past Sunday, Pastor John preached a dynamic message called Sow Seeds of Praise, For Your Future! He talked about how we need to praise when we are in a tough season and God will deliver us out of it. It’s easy to worship God when things are going well, but the true test of our faith is to praise Him when life isn’t going the way we want.
Use our song list from this past Sunday to have a powerful devotional time with God!
The song list is as follows:
1. King of Glory by Cece Winans
2. Speak the Name by Koryn Hawthorne
3. Yahweh We Love You by Elevation Worship
4. That’s Who I Praise by Brandon Lake
Our weekly events: Ladies, join us at the church for a Bible Study on Mondays from 9:15 – 10:30 AM about the Book of Acts. It will be a wonderful time of learning more about this impactful time in the church’s history and fellowshipping with your sisters in Christ!
Our Wednesday night prayer meeting will be taking place over Zoom from 7:00 – 8:00 PM! Please email pastormarydimarco1@gmail.com for the link.
Giving projects: We are still collecting funds for Life Outreach Christmas Shoe Project, which is an organization that gives shoes to children in developing nations. These shoes protect the kids from getting infections and we’re proud to have participated in this outreach for many years now. If you’d like more information about the organization, you can go to https://lifetoday.org/outreaches/christmas-shoe-project/.
Before we end, let’s think about a passage of Scripture, specifically Genesis 3:15. It says, “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” Adam and Eve had just made a horrible mistake when they disobeyed God when He said not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This error made life for humanity difficult and built in a separation from God that He never intended. But even in this terrible moment, God prophesied an event that would happen that would bring us back into communion with Him. He offered hope in the form of Jesus. This is a truth that we can hold on to. Even when we make mistakes, God always forgives and has redemption waiting for us.
And with that, this week’s newsletter has come to an end. Thank you so much for joining us in this new season of our church. We are so glad we get to do life with you! Have a blessed week!
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
