Welcome, church, to our weekly newsletter. Let’s catch up on all the exciting things that are happening at Harvest Church!
This past Sunday, Pastor John continued his series on faith where he talked about how important it is to not only use it but strengthen it.
In upcoming events, we will be having a men’s breakfast on Saturday, September 14th at the church from 8:30 to 10 AM. Come for some wonderful food and fellowship! Please call 914-803-2290 to RSVP.
Ladies, join us for our weekly Monday Bible Study at the church from 9:15 – 10:30. We’ve been studying the Book of Acts which talks about the experience and life in the early church.
We will also be participating in Life Outreach Christmas Shoe Project, which is an organization that gives shoes to children in developing nations. These shoes protect the kids from getting infections and we’re proud to have participated in this outreach for many years now. We will be collecting an offering for this very soon. If you’d like more information about the organization, you can go to https://lifetoday.org/outreaches/christmas-shoe-project/.
Before we end, let’s spend this week thinking about a chapter of the Bible, specifically Genesis 2:2-3: By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so, on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
Even the Creator of the universe needed to rest, and this is a good reminder that He wants us to do the same. Enjoy your breaks, just like God did.
And with that, this week’s newsletter has come to an end. Thank you so much for joining us in this new season of our church. We are so glad we get to do life with you! Have a blessed week!
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
